Minnie's Summary of May 09

Finally, I'm back in Pangeelapong.
Time doesn't seem to be enough eversince holiday started!
Anyway talking about this MAY..
It can be considered as the most suffering yet the most relaxing month!
Why did I say so?

First we have our exams till 20th of May,
days before the 20th were total hell to me!!
I had to suffer so much to cope with my exam stress and whatsoever...
Anyways, we've finally done with our foundation programme!!

So, on the 21st,
Pangeelapongers went to Tekala Fall,
to celebrate IVAN's birthday and also to relax after so much stressessss
Then, we went for SATAY in Kajang.

On the same day, at night, I went for movie with friends, "Night at the Museum II",
However, I slept through the movie because I was too tired.
I only watched a bit of the starting and the ending,
So I'm sort of DAPAT relate the whole story.
cause~

Beginning:
General: The key to happiness is ...... (the general turned into wax statue again)

Ending:
Larry: I know!! the key to happiness is "Doing the things you like with the person you love"
General: urmm.. I was thinking about "Physical exercise", but your one was good also.....

On the 22nd, I went One Utama with friends, just to shop for stuffs,
Stef was there too with her little sister~
They went there to buy colour papers,
kononnya want to start a new hobby, scrapbook~
I say~ better call it Crapbook~ haha
Anyway, got free Starbucks coffee, thanks stef!

The following days,
I acted like a computer expert,
helped people to fix computers here and there,
from my friends', my neighbour's till my dad's company...

On the 27th, Me and my friends went Melacca for 2 days 1 night trip.
We went to A Famosa!
and guess what,
I met Nottingham people there at the Water Park!
I met Yi Jia and 3 more Nottinghamers, I don't know them =P
What a coincidence right?
Anyway our main purpose to Melacca was to Eat eat and eat!
Had lot fun there =D

On the 29th, me and a few friends went back to Secondary school to join the teachers' day celebration.
mmm.. love to see my teachers and old friendsssss, thank God they still recognise me =D
After that, we went to watch movie at OU, "Night at the Museum II" again,
since I slept through the movie the other day. haha

On the 30th, 10 of us went Bukit Tabur again!!
The night before, my mum kept nagging at me and gave me a lot of pressure.
She was kinda worried and scolded me for inviting so many people to join,
cause she thought the mountain is really no joke, it's not easy to climb and it's definitely not a playground for children.
But I promised my mum to bring everyone back safely.
No doubt, the King Scout's promise was no joke too,
everyone came back one full piece =D
However, my friends swear they will never go again!

*after the super tiring trip, we went makan,
too thirsty!! 29 drinks for 10 person

On the 31st, I went DIM SUM with friends,
then movie again~
"Angels and Demons"
Not bad~ Story about Religion and Science.

Thats the end of my MAY~

Complexity VS Simplicity

What’s the difference between simple and complicated matters?
In my opinion, complicated matters can be made simple if one is able to look at things from a different perspective and think in a simpler way.
So, simplifying complicated matter may be one of the solutions to difficult problem.
However, if we look at problems with judgments that are too simple, aren’t we just making ourselves believe that things are just that simple when sometimes the actual fact is much complicated than what we thought?
After all, it’s not always what we think is what it is.

Some people say simple things are always hard,
But I personally think what makes simple thing hard is the failure to face the problem.
Certainly, different people have different methods of countering their problems,
Many prefer to share their problems with their closest friend,
Certain people like to voice out their dissatisfaction to others,
Some like to pen it down for their own revisions,
And only a handful of people would confront their problem and solve it intelligently.

I believe confront directly with the problem is the best way of all.
Anyway, no offense, I’m not saying that sharing your problem with your friend is not a good idea.
Sometimes, it’s good if you have someone trustworthy to share your problems or secrets with, and to give you a second opinion on your situations.
But that doesn’t always happen.

Anyway, bear in mind that different people have different understandings and
different people comprehend things differently.
Since everyone has different intelligence, sometimes misinterpretation may occur when you share your problems with people.
And we must remember words could spread, like a virus.

Imagine if everytime words spread, people misinterpret a little.
No matter what message people got in the end,
It probably has diverged from your original meaning and turned into a misunderstanding,
A minor or a serious one~
Imagine how terrible can that be…

Sometimes things may just started with a small misunderstanding,
Many people just don’t bother to solve the problem,
Some like to accumulate problems,
Some just want to avoid quarrels,
Some are scared to face problem,
Some didn’t even know what the problem is,
But most likely, people will talk about their problems to others,
as to complain or to get a second opinion on whatever problem.
without realizing that this could actually turn simple things complicated.

Again, I’m not saying sharing problem with friends is not good,
Just that, sometimes we’re wise enough to make our own rational decision to solve our own problem,
But somehow, we just lacked courage to confront with problems, too many worries~

Summing up my points:
1st, always look things from different angles.
2nd, share your problems only with someone reliable.
3rd, different people see things differently, so misinterpretations are unavoidable.
4th,  dare to face problems.
Lastly, don’t make simple things complicated.

Reunion After 17 Months

First of all, I have to apologize to my dear pangeelapongers
and pangeelapongs' readers for not updating my posts for a very long time.

Therefore I decided to write this post, but the contents of this post does not
really match the title.
So just ignore the title if you wanted to.

I traveled to my previous school, MRSM PDRM KULIM
on the 25th of May to take my SPM certificate, school magazine and
to meet my old friends who have spent two years studying with me..

At first, I met another four Chinese friends
and we went to shopping in Kulim town before entering our college.

After that, we checked in for our room in the college..
Five of us stayed in one room and
each of us just needed to pay for RM 5.. its cheap right.. hehe..

No special events on that particular night because
most of our malay friends haven't reach the college yet.
So we just chatted and read in our room..
I had bought poker cards and planned to play with them that night but we didn't
because one of my friend was not in a good mood.

The next day after we took the cert and magazine,
we met up with our malay friends.
But we didn't chat too long because my friend
needed to go back her home due to some emergencies.
So we left the college at around 10.00 a.m.

I felt really sorry to my malay friends because we couldn't spend longer time with them.
However, I also felt relief when I knew that I can go back home earlier.

The reason was I found out that I can no longer mixed well with them.
My BM language has degraded so I found its actually
quite hard to communicate with them by using BM.

And I also realized that we are actually came from two different worlds,
different background, religion,
and definitely different challenges that we might face in the future.

The college that I stayed for two years suddenly made me felt so strange.
The buildings remained the same with some new painting,
the same arrangement of the tables and chairs in the dining hall,
the same environment and no new trees growing around.

The only difference are the students, teachers and principal.
Some of them are new to us,
some of them changed, especially the juniors, who never seems to respect us anymore.
But still, some of them were really friendly to us.
Thank for them especially my teachers.

Now I realized that a person cannot always belongs to a particular community.
Once he or she left, the only thing remained for he or she will be just the memory,
and changes in that community kept proceeding without his or her notice.

So let's start to appreciate the community that we belong to,
because once we leave,
we can no longer predict what will be happened to the
people and environment that we left behind.

The Approach

Another week passes by as we watch the ebbs of the waves wash onto our feet, returning as though the sea pulls it back. We're having a holiday now but there hasn't been much said from everyone else. As I type this, the back of my mind ponders; where could everyone be?

My side of the holiday reminds myself of the times when SPM had ended. There was vast emptiness ahead of me, waiting for me to fill in with a task of choice. Back then, I didn't do much. I held on at the cliff, waiting for the moment when the void ahead of me would restore itself; allowing me to walk on it again. This set was repeated at the end of Sem 0 when I approached a similar situation. Yet, if my memory serves me well, I did the same as before. I hesitated. And now again, deja vu, here come's the void again; would I leap in or would I hold back as before? It's hard to say.

Tekala Falls - The Start

It wasn't really planned; the original plan was to retreat to one of the usual malls for a short day. Yet, we hoped for a difference; we longed for one too. And hence, with much reference to this blog itself, a choice was voiced out; the opinion was weighed and the decision was made. Let's go to Tekala Falls, said one of us. And everyone looked at each other with eyes brightly lit with hope before nodding in agreement. Hence, it was decided. Tekala Falls, here we come!

The decision to arrive early at campus was much disputed by Jess as she insisted on waking up late (despite saying so, she was caught on Facebook this morning, approximately at 0900 hours). But we nagged her to agree and she finally agreed! But before that, she was asking Stef and Carmen to wake her up as her alarms usually failed her. And so, we have cleared one tiny obstacle of procrastination for our trip to Tekala Falls.

--

It was approximately 8AM when we arrived at campus. Kenneth rushed to the loo to deliver his goods as the rest of us gathered at the SA. Stef and Jess were at the toilet instead and we then met Carmen. When we mentioned that she needed to bring the Bioscience shirt, she was surprised. She was ranting that she never knew about it and she went back to her room to collect it. After awhile, Kenneth came back to us and we headed to Kian Min's car to place the provisions in his car. Upon doing so, we then met Carmen again. And after awhile, Jess and Stef came back walking like models. And then we had our crew and were ready to leave. We left almost immediately.

On the way there, many things were revealed. One of those was that Jess had longed for a swim to the extent that she had the intention of using this trip as an opportunity. As a result, she brought her goggles along and was proud to show it! When Kian Min first arrived at her place, she was proudly telling him and Stef that she has goggles. Only after they laughed did she realize that there was a probability that the goggles idea wasn't the brightest. She hid the goggles but Pangeelapong members never kept these type of secrets from each other. Another thing revealed in the car was regarding Carmen's lack of information regarding the idea of bringing the Bioscience tee-shirt along. The mystery was solved in the following sentence: "Huh? Carmen, you didn't know about it? I posted it on your wall ma. No meh??" Kenneth then sarcastically mocked the speaker about using Facebook as the best means of communication. We passed through the many sites of Nirvana and we finally reached an end. The air was fresh and the area was overrunned by greenery. Here we are, at Tekala Falls.

21 May 2009, Sungai Tekala, Semenyih

Since the exams ended, the pangeelapongers
organized a one day retreat before we parted ways.

The venue was at Sg Tekala, Semenyih.
It is located pretty near to UNIM, so distance was
not a problem.

I woke up as usual because
Ivan was driving me to uni.

Lol, halfway, I had a stomachache from the
midnight thosai.

When we reached uni, Kian Min, Jess and Stef
was already there.

I rush to the toilet
to finished some business.

When I was done, I went and meet up with
Ivan, Carmen and Kian Min.

After waiting for an eternity, Jess and Stef emerged
the toilet.

Then off we went.
The trip inside was pretty quick because
Kian Min was speeding.

When we arrived, we brought tickets (RM 1 per person).
We started our hike uphill.

It was an enjoying

3 Days Before Exam

Day 1 - FRIDAY
Looking at chemistry notes,
one note is thicker than another,
chapter 1 - 10,
I didn't know which to start with,
Did hypothesis testing and picked a sample out of the 10,
I got Acid and Bases, oh damn, it was so crazy to start with this,
as I remember I never pay attention for this lecture.

7pm - 10pm
I went out with friends to this Yami Yami Steamboat Buffet restaurant in Kepong.
It is a quite unique "japanese style" steamboat restaurant.
Unlike other japanese sushi restaurants, this shop doesn't serve japanese food.
How is it Japanese Style then?
Cause instead of Sushi Go Round, they have Steamboat Stuff Go Round.
You can pick any of ur likings and each of us has an individual pot.

So it was considered quite hygenic lo since there was no mixing of saliva~~
but not UNTIL we saw a cockcroach crawling around scaring all of us! damn...
Killed it anyways.

10pm - 2am
After steamboat, friends came to my house,
we were youtubing and had some alcohols.
Everyone went a bit high ~ then dismissed at 2

*End Day 1*

Day 2 - Saturday
Didn't go anywhere but slept at 10pm cause need to wake up early the next day.

*End Day 2*

Day 3 - Sunday

5am - 12pm
Since me and my mum are going to Kota Kinabalu in June,
MY MUM (not me) needed some intensive trainings before we conquer KK.
So early in the morning we went to BUKIT TABUR in Taman Melawati.

I've never been to this place so I've absolutely no idea where is it really located,
Fattty Ju and Alex brought us there and be our tour guides of the day.

Being a King Scout (me), I underestimated this mountain and I wasn't mentally prepared for this tough challenge!!

We went ups and downs, countless hills,
one after another....
Some parts of the hill we had to climb with rope,
Some parts were quite steepy!!!
Many parts were slippery.
It was really quite challenging and dangerous!!

Anyway we all made it to the TOP and came back down one full piece.
After all there shouldn't be anything that can daunt the KING SCOUT~

We took 4 hours ++ to conquer Bukit Tabor!
After that we went for lunch somewhere at Taman Melawati.

12pm - 5pm
Tired - took a nice nap - blogging

5pm onwards
Study Study Study

Noticed that tommorow's exam is at 9:30am
I only have 16 Hours and 30 Minutes left~

Minus
Eating time                            1 hour
Watching TV news time           30 minutes
Showering time                    15 minutes
Sleeping time                       5 hours
Driving to Semenyih time         1 hour
Miscellaneous                       1 hour

So I have only 7 hours and 45 minutes left..
Wish me good luck~
Thx =(

Sceneries at Bukit Tabur

Dangerous~~

Found some fruits there!

Swine Flu

The recent swine scare  definitely struck
fear in me.

I was surprise that it
actually came to our shore that quickly.

The was said that 2 infected patients
of the H1N1 just came back from
NewYork.

Omg, imagine the virus spreaded to
the passengers in the airplane.

I think there were more infected
because the friend of the infected got it as well.

My dad just brought back
masks for us.

As a precautionary step.

Who knows, someone in the
train might have gotten it.

I will do more research to find out the symptoms.

Nobody Cares?!

At times in life, everyone faces problems.
And usually, everyone would like to share it with others.
However, it doesn’t mean that when you wanna share, others wanna listen.
Some people are lucky enough to have found that particular person(s).
But some, NO.

Self-comforting seems to be the best way
to keep these people ALIVE and rational.

Now start thinking about which category are you in?

Think about a situation like this:
You have just had a horrible day,
a real real real horrible one,
who is the first person on your mind you want to talk to?

It may be one or more or it could be none.

Now, you just had the biggest surprise ever and you're absolutely happy about it,
who do u want to share this news with?

Again it could be one or more or it could be none.
For those, who has one or more, then congrats to u.

As for those who said none,
it doesn’t mean that no one cares about u.
Maybe there’s someone out there who really wants to know about it,
but its just that you don’t want to share it with them.

In life, people come and go.
There maybe people who used to care but don’t care now.
And there’s people who didn’t care before, care about you a lot now.

For those, who think they have no one who cares about them,
think again.
You don’t always know.
Some like to care in a direct way, while some like to care indirectly.
Never say that no one cares,
because there always is someone who cares (at least one).

Recollection of a Reverie

When I saw the sun shining through my window, I was shocked. It suddenly came to me that time was slowly seeping away; time necessary to prepare for a certain examination. As I rushed to wash up, I noticed that the sunlight was already dying out. Time had began to move in an accelerated pace, leaving me behind. I washed up and headed out to the hall to begin my studies. However, when I arrived, I began to feel a tinge of lethargy in me. I fell on the couch and I fell asleep.

I woke up to a Thursday. It was already 1 PM. I then remembered that the examination begins in half an hour. I was in panic. I rushed to the university. But as I stepped out of the house, I began to notice my surroundings. No longer was I out of the house, but simply in bed. My heart beats at an accelerated pulse. I checked the time; Tuesday, 0812 hours. I sighed in relief.

Exam stress :p Especially when you feel like not enough effort has been placed

High Court Decided the Rightful MB in Perak

Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar is back in office today!
Opposition rules Perak again,
Lucky you, Perak people!
Finally, high court has decided Datuk Nizar as the rightful Menteri Besar in Perak.

At last, the judiciary is acting based on the Law and the Constitution! thanks so much.
Thanks Justice Abdul Aziz Abd Rahim

Whereas for Dr. Zambry, our former illegal MB in Perak,
Thanks for your 3 months service,
but frankly speaking, it wasn't really necessary.
In fact, this whole scenario in Perak should not even happen~
Anyway, still thanks a lot. =)

Heard BN would file appeal to the High Court decision,
I would say don't waste time and resources, let the Rakyat decide k!

Next, Menteri Besar Perak Datuk Seri Nizar from PAS would seek an audience with the Sultan of Perak to ask for the dissolution of Assembly and call for a new election! As he can't rule without having a majority >.<

Hopefully, the King will allow the Assembly dissolution
and let the Boss (Rakyat) to decide the Government they want for themselves.

Lastly, congratulation to all Rakyat in Perak!!

Belows are some handsome pictures of Datuk Nizar

An Unusual Incident

One day, a girl (lets name her Lulu) and a guy (lets name him Bulu) went to buy food at Student Association canteen together. They decided to eat Mixed Rice. From far, Lulu saw the plate with a few fried eggs left. The fried egg actually aroused her appetite and she wanted the fried egg so desperately. However the queue was long, she was so afraid that people infront might take all the fried eggs. So, she was a bit panic.

Lulu: hey Bulu Bulu, how? how ? I want the fried egg le, later people take all how??
Bulu: don't worry, won't one...

When it was her turn, she quickly went infront and grabbed the fried egg!

Lulu: Hey! Got it!! but.. hmmm.. it's so oily man... yucks...
Bulu: Yalor... eee...

Lulu wanted the fried egg so desperately, yet she was being very health conscious.

So, without hesitation....

Lulu: nah! Bulu, put you there first k?? (evil smile)
[She put the egg on Bulu's rice so it can help absorb the oil.]

Bulu: eeerr.. okieeee >.<"

Other than the fried egg, Lulu took quite a few dishes, like sausages, chicken... (she wanted to gain some weights all of a sudden)

Since the Student Association canteen was so full, they decided to sit outside the canteen, under the yellow parasol.

While walking, Lulu was attracted by something from far (probably a really HOT blonde haired blue eyed guy).

Lulu just kept starrrringgggg..........
at the same time kept walking.......

Bulu didn't bother looking as he wasn't gay.

Seconds later.....

BANG!!!

Lulu: Ouch!!! (Lulu banged her head and food on the pillar)
Bulu: ops.. What happen Lulu?? (It was so obvious yet Bulu asked)

Just while Lulu thought no one else besides Bulu noticed her stupidity, a guy walked pass...

It can be seen that the guy was holding his laugh.

So sadddd...
Some of Lulu's sausages and chicken fell....

So now, lets guess who was this Lulu???

Anyway Lulu still get to eat her fried egg cause it was with Bulu.

Think back....
Only if the egg wasn't oily,
Only if she wasn't that health conscious,
Only if Bulu wasn't there with her,
and so she put the fried egg on her plate instead of Bulu's

She wouldn't get to eat the fried egg she wanted so much..

Since all the oil already seeped into Bulu's rice, Lulu ate the fried egg happily...
However, Lulu's shirt was coloured with oil stains.
Later on, she changed into her jacket....

Lulu put all the blame on Bulu,
and her point was, Bulu should remind her of of the pillar ahead.

Bulu was so innocent yet he will never not remind Lulu of any obstacles around that she might possibly knock into it again....
